Our Inspiration

Meet Mrs. Curry

As an infant and toddler, Talitha was lovingly nicknamed “Sunny” or “Sunshine” because she was always smiling and full of joy.

As she grew older, she became more shy and reserved. Learning did not come easily, and school was often a challenge. However, through the patience, encouragement, and Christ-centered love of her teachers, Talitha discovered something life-changing—a love for learning and, ultimately, a passion for teaching.

As a teenager, her greatest desire was to be deeply involved in her youth group. Through the ups and downs of those years, she grew in her relationship with Jesus and developed a strong, personal faith.

Talitha graduated from Abeka Academy with plans to enter the mission field. She later attended Pensacola Christian College in Pensacola, Florida, where God redirected her path from Missions to Elementary Education. It was there she realized that teaching is a mission field in itself—one that allows her to impact lives daily.

After college, Talitha married her husband, Israel Curry, on February 18, 2016. Together, they have faithfully served in ministry. From June 2019 to June 2025, they served as Youth Pastors at River of Life Fellowship, a church founded by Israel’s grandparents in 1969. Today, Talitha serves as the Children’s Church Director of “River Kids.”

Mrs. Curry has been teaching preschool since September 2017 and has been involved in many areas of education along the way. One of her greatest honors was receiving the Golden Apple Teacher Award, hosted by KNWA, which aired publicly in December 2020.

Today, she is grateful to bring together her passion for education and her faith through Righteous Arrows, where Christian values and strong educational practices go hand in hand.
